I was travelling in the area with a friend of mine and we were looking for a special place for lunch. This was it! The welcome by the staff was very warm and friendly, the food absolutely wonderful, all home made. I used the facilities as you would expect without any fuss. However on leaving I did speak to the manager to compliment him on an excellent lunch and ask him about facility policy for transgender people. “Disabled would be easiest”, was his reply. “Disabled, you say”, I replied. “Yes”. Easiest for whom, exactly? That for me means 1 star only, so an otherwise perfect 5 star becomes 3.7.
